This mini collection of needle books combines our signature design with some iconic reclaimed Welsh Wool - a true match made in heaven!
 
These one-of-a-kind needle books help to keep all your needles organised by type and there's even space for one or two extra tools in the pockets too.
 
This particular Welsh tapestry design is known as the 'Caernarfon' - a geometric design featuring interlocking portcullis motifs in orange, green and blue on a black background. It's considered one of the most iconic and traditional Welsh blanket patterns with a history dating back centuries.
 
Welsh wool fabrics and blankets are a treasured part of Welsh culture, celebrated for their unique patterns and expert woven craftsmanship. Dating back hundreds of years, the wool industry was once a key part of Wales’s economy. Although it declined in the 20th century, the tradition has made a strong comeback in recent years. Today, Welsh wool fabrics and blankets are in high demand worldwide, admired for their warmth, durability, and eye-catching designs. 
 
Handmade in Norfolk, U.K
Designed in collaboration with Mel from Aquila Crafts - each book has a definite mending vibe and is lovingly handmade using reclaimed original Welsh Wool from the 1970s, along with antique embroidered linen and repurposed jeans.
 
All stitched by Mel on her vintage Singer sewing machine.
 
The Details
Each book contains eight wool pages to store your needles with pretty hand-stamped labels to help you separate them by type. We've also even added a little page for pins and a double page for 'Darners'.
 
At the front and back you'll find a pocket for keeping smaller sewing tools like your favourite pair of scissors, fabric marker or a card of thread.
 
The books are closed with a simple magnetic catch hidden in the fabric clasp, so no fiddly buttons or snaps to contend with! Plus, it acts like a needle minder too.
